Having admired the exterior, it was time to get in and belt up. The first surprise is that Smarts are quite roomy in the front. Well, they have to be - there isn't a back. Despite a large lunch and a puffa jacket the size of Sussex, there was plenty of space for your intrepid reviewer. The challenging test circuit chosen around Chilham includes, unbeknownst to Captain Caz, who was innocently strapping on her leather flying helmet, donning Cruella de Vil style motoring gauntlets and adjusting her goggles, the dreaded 'Shottenden Corner'. Gulp. Be afraid. Cockpit drill completed, parachutes safely stowed and main engine ignition confirmed, we were off ! We eased gently into the traffic flow around the Square (nil) and headed down Taylor's Hill to the main road. I felt like one of those stuffed nits with clipboards from the Dept of Transport who does driving tests and delivers cloth-eared dialogue such as : "I'd like you now, by use of forward and reverse gears and without hitting either kerb, to turn the car in the road so it faces the other way." (Eh ? Is this English ? Sack the writer) "At the bottom here, Miss Moon, I'd like you to turn left." And we do ! Whee ! Details. You'll want to know how it felt to be carried around inside the langmobile. Well, to use technical terms, it was SPRONGY. It has VROOM. Yeah, baby ! I said VROOM ! We zapped briefly along the Faversham road and right-turned on a sixpence up Soles Hill to Shottenden. Whee again ! Going for a spin in this vehicle is the sort of absolutely great fun only matched by being in the driver's company. It's almost like having a go-cart and being a kid again (Editor's note : the author is 46 and a quarter) We nipped smartly up the steep hill, winding through apple orchards and past surprised tractors, onto the open fields of the North Weald. The 'Shottenden Corner' (gulp) was approaching. This is less a corner and more a 230 degree V shaped junction which incorporates a badly engineered two foot drop in height difference between one narrow lane and another. Generally avoided by locals, apart from boy racers and the mentally deranged, the deep gouges in what remains of the tarmac tell a sorry tale of battered exhaust pipes and scarred car underbellies. "Turn right here please, Cap'n. It's a sharp 'un." With a deft flick of the wrist, Caz swings the langmobile smoothly around and completes the beastly bend with room to spare in a neat single manoeuvre. Yes ! Respect ! A spontaneous round of applause from the watching straw chewing yokels and a well-earned 5.9 from the Scottish judge are just reward for this impressive feat. And now for more whee ! We sail on down the long hill from Shottenden, the newly furrowed fields of Kentish clay like soft brown corduroy in the golden afternoon light. (Do shut up and stop being poetic, there. High time for a new paragraph)

Hi ya there! Well I'm rather boring......
so I shouldn't bother reading any of
this tosh !! I only hope you know what you're letting yourself in for here? Ahem!! my name's Caz, and I answer to pretty much anything ....and, oh
yes, I have a very responsible job....yes....if anything goes wrong, then I'm responsible. As you can tell I have a total lack of humour....HAA!!!!
I love taking photos, enjoy painting, drawing and calligraphy.....basically anything creative. I have been told I have a very inventive mind and can turn my hand to most things!! I look at things from more than one angle to find the solution.
I have been training to become a spiritual healer and qualified as a Full Healer in May last year. This is a topic I do take seriously, and it means a great deal to me having seen how the results have helped people very close to me.
One of my favourite past times is chilling out with my mates at Starbucks.
I'm a bit of a technophobe and find
computers a trial, even at the best of times. Yer know! the 6 months it takes to work out which button you pressed that gotcha in a flippin' mess in
the first place.
I also enjoy ghost hunting 'BOO'!!!!
there that made you jump dint it!!! I am on the whole very quiet but can push myself to be extrovert when the need arises. They don't let
me out very often. Yes! OK then, so you get the gist of this write up. Jolly good show!!
I am a good listener and tend to do more of that than talking.
I like to be able to put people at ease, which often involves an awful lot of joke telling, and I mean, they are awful, very clean I might add, but very corny. I enjoy keeping my mind active with brain teaser puzzles, crosswords etc. and not to mention puns galore..............yeah OK let's not mention them then!
My pride and joy is my little Smart car, and if you have seen the photos of it you'll know why. I make people laugh when I tell them that I'll give them a lift in my Mercedes. Then this tiny two seater bubble turns up with kd lang all over it!!!
Oh joy! It's always a good conversation starter........'hmmm !! like yer panels'!! Not everyday a girl gets her panels admired......ahem!
I love the Shrek character of donkey and the avatar, ....it's cheeky!! Just like me.
Sorry to have bored the pants off you with this blog, but hey, if it put a smile on ya face then it can be infectious.

SOMETHING TOUCHED MY HEART THIS WEEK
Very often in life you find there are moments, sometimes fleeting and others more permanent, that touch your soul. For
me, it is more than likely found in my music. The words are echoes somewhere in the mind and are an important reminder of where we have been, where we are now
and sometimes even an indication as to where we may be going. There may be people who, through no fault of their own, are in trouble and need a friendly
listening ear. Those who have lost their way and need to find themselves again. Those who are in pain or suffering and need some small relief. Each day try to
help just one person to feel good about themselves. The words and music are sometimes so skillful in their composition, and make for a great song. kd has many
many many of those, but here also are other artistes who have made their mark and touched peoples hearts, including mine. I can appreciate a wide taste in
music, but kd will always be number one obviously. Take a few moments to play the videos below and listen to what they have to say to you. You may find a
surprise or even some comfort therein. Anyway, listen without prejudice.
